Central Florida Sports
Although rumors of another major sports team coming to Central Florida spring up all the time (Orlando is the largest metropolitan area in the country without a pro baseball team!) there are currently only three major sports teams in the area:
- Orlando Magic - Orlando's NBA team since 1989. They currently play in the Orlando Events Center in downtown Orlando.
- Orlando Predators - One of the Arena Football League's flagship franchises since 1991, the Predators have won seven divisional titles and two Arena Bowls. Like the Magic, they currently play in the Orlando Events Center in downtown Orlando.
- UCF Knights - The University of Central Florida's Division 1 football team plays in their newly completed stadium - the Bright House Networks Stadium - located on the UCF campus.
